I will trust You when the future looks uncertain.
I will trust You when logic tells me I shouldn’t.
I will trust You even if I don’t get what I want.
I will trust You to give me what brings me close to You.
I will trust You to lead me to places I never dreamed.
I will trust You to provide enough, even if it’s not in the way I thought best.
I will trust You when I am surrounded by darkness.
I will trust You when the worries want to choke me.
I will trust You even when I can’t see a clear path ahead.
I will trust You to bring Light to the darkness.
I will trust You to reignite hope in a discouraging situation.
I will trust You to never leave me, no matter what.
I will trust You when it feels like I can’t trust anyone else.
I will trust You when betrayal and rejection crowd me out.
I will trust You when everything and everyone seems against me.
I will trust You to welcome me, even when I haven’t done everything right.
I will trust You to love me whether I perform or not.
I will trust You to help my unbelief when my faith is small.
I will trust You when the world is on fire around me.
I will trust You when the country and culture is torn apart by division and discord.
I will trust You when the ugliness of evil is on full display.
I will trust You to stand with me in the fire so I am not burned.
I will trust You to give me perspective that carries me above the fray.
I will trust You to be good that wins the day no matter how powerful evil seems.
I will trust You when I feel like I can’t trust You.
I will trust You because You have said You are trustworthy, and I have seen it time and time again in my life. You will bring me through, You will love me, and You will reach out in love to the world, even at great cost to Yourself.
But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you and trust in you with all my heart. Psalm 56:3
